Laura Chramer

Summer Intern Wanted

We at Bloom Custom Robes are excited to announce our search for Summer 2019 interns! We have four types of roles we're looking to fill: graphic design, public relations and marketing, photography, and videography.

The goal of these internships is to offer portfolio-level assignments that have direct impact on our business, as students will be learning with team members that value good people and a pleasant working environment. Our interns will have the opportunity to work with us in our MAKEbhm workspace in the Avondale neighborhood of Birmingham, Alabama.

About Us

So, what is Bloom? A company born out of social media success, we're a brand based in fine details and fine people with customers nationwide. From conception to completed transaction, we pride ourselves in providing the utmost in customer experience for businesses, brides, fashionistas, pageantry titleholders, and individuals looking to add a bit of accessible luxury to their lives. We're also a family-run business, helmed by Elisabeth and aided by her sister, Laura, and mom, Valerie.

About the Internships

Generally, each intern will gain personal mentorship and hands-on learning from June through July, ideally with us in our Birmingham studio for 10 hours each week. We offer flexible scheduling to satisfy educational requirements, such as those for college credit, for these unpaid positions.

Our interns will help in launching new branding and visual campaigns, growing our social media influence, converting customers in e-commerce transactions, learning small-business strategies, documenting product development and much more. Bloom is proud to have two team members with communications backgrounds, and our intern will have access to great resources, including connections to the creative small-business community in Birmingham and players in visual design and related industries.

General knowledge of the major social media platforms is a must, as is the willingness to learn new technologies and strategies. An eye for design and correct use of the English language are critical assets our interns must possess.

We're looking for people who can work well with others, but are also just as comfortable working independently on their own. We'll work with interns to create goals to span the duration of the internship, as well as daily and weekly tasks to progressively grow success. See something that interests you? Go for it! Find a better system for the business to use? Tell us! We will be allowing and relying on our interns to make their mark.
